I think if you are just coming for the Casino, you are missing out. If you don't like the dining options offered at the Casino, the trolley comes every 15-20 minutes and gets you to a plethora of other dining options in minutes. It's a great evening out - especially considering Schenectady was practically barren just 10 years ago. A quick 15 minute trolley on Thu-Sat gets you to most of the other attractions Downtown Schenectady has to offer. I expect this Casino to get busier when the adjoining Mohawk Harbor is finished. If I want to spend 3 or 4 hours, there is enough to do where I'm not twiddling my thumbs. This is why I rate this Casino so high, it's convenient, clean, and if I want to spend 20 minutes there I can get in and out. Finding a table game or a slot machine is a breeze. The layout is simple, a big box with dining and bar options on the peripheral. I kind of find it funny they have Valet parking at this facility. Parking is free and just about every spot is close to the Casino. You will not be wowed - but you also won't get lost. It's a great place to stop in for some quick fun seeing it's practically around the corner from me. A much cleaner layout then the Racino (and with Vegas style tables) - but much much smaller then the Connecticut casinos. I used to venture to the Racino in Saratoga, or to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods while visiting family in Mass/Ct.
